The Grove started out as a simple idea two neighbors shared outside of their Froest Grove homes one evening. One of those talks that almost ended with "Yeah, wouldn't that be nice". Instead it ended with "This is gonna be great!". A chat turned into sitting down to coffee, to notes being made and right then that evening we thought we should start with a name. We new many of the local teens and they had a nice name for the neighborhood, THE GROVE. We knew that was our name.
Those two neighbors were Jennifer Tanguay and Dave Gillespie and with the detication of community members like Tami Gillespie, Jan Midlin, Lucy Villela, Cathy Dawe, The Hoffmann Family, Victoria Pang, Cappy Amy, Amy Wiebe Lau and so so many more, The Grove Opened it's door in Forest Grove School on September 2, 2003.
Still today, 9 years later, it is the detication of our community volunteers that keep us opening our doors every morning with a smile. Moral of the story? Great things can happen by just making time to talk to your neighbors.
